Student Spotlight: Gina Tonno

Gina Tonno is a senior Marketing and Communications double major with a minor in vocal music performance at the University of Rhode Island. During here time at the University of Rhode Island, Gina has been given professional opportunities in her marketing and communication studies. She was an intern for both iHeartMedia in Providence, RI and Picerne Real Estate Group and is currently a part time manager at Alex and Ani in Cranston, RI. Gina was also fortunate enough to study abroad in Florence, Italy during her junior year, where she studied the business and cultural environment of Italy. In addition to her studies in Marketing and Communications at the University of Rhode Island Gina studied vocal performance and has performed with Concert Choir, University Chorus, Opera Workshop and the chamber vocal ensemble Lively Experiment. Gina hopes to always remain heavily involved with music as she begins her professional life after graduation in December. She has just accepted an offer from the Disney internship program and will start in Orlando this January. Gina took the pledge to pause because she wants to inspire others, help spread positivity, and make a difference in the world by stopping hateful messages being shared!
